Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is reportedly in talks with Juventus over a potential move to the Serie A outfit in the summer after his Gunners contract expires.
According to CalcioMercatoWeb (via James Cambridge in the Express), Juve have approached Cazorla in an attempt to prevent him signing a new Arsenal deal, which has yet to be offered by the north London club.
The 31-year-old Spaniard would reportedly be part of an overhaul in midfield at the Old Lady, which could also see Zenit Saint Petersburg’s Axel Witsel move to Turin.
Cazorla’s current deal at the Emirates Stadium expires in June 2017, and he has yet to be tied to an extension, despite his continuing importance to manager Arsene Wenger’s side.
Arsene Wenger has been given a boost after Francis Coquelin and Lucas Perez returned to full training, writes Jacob Murtagh.
In other news,Arsenal midfielder Coquelin suffered a knee injury against Chelsea last month, but scans showed the problem was not as bad as first feared.
The Frenchman has resumed sessions at their London Colney headquarters and is in line to return to the squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Swansea.
Perez sat out the win at Burnley before the international break due to a knee injury picked up in training.
However, the summer signing is also making good progress and should be ready to face the Swans at the Emirates.
