News reaching us right now is that UCU has nullified Barasha Duncan’ election as Uganda Christian University Guild President sighting political influence from outside the University.It is said Barasha’ campaign was funded by FDC president Mugisha Muntu contralry to Article 27, Clause 1(e) of the UCU Guild Constitution.

Article 27, Clause 1(e) of the UCU Guild Constitution states that to qualify to be a Uganda Christian University guild presidential candidate, one ought to stand on his/her own merit. One must not represent or receive any contribution from any national political party.

Barasha’ posters were painted with FDC’ Blue colors.The Electoral Commission of Uganda Christian University (UCU) declared second year student of the Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA), Barasha Duncan as the new guild president for the year 2017-18.

Barasha got 985 votes, 641 for Owere Hannington for Mass Communication, 542 for Gulume Mark from the computer science course and 113 invalids.
